It is the day after Easter and I am tired. Since Thursday I have officiated at six services for the Holy Week observance, two funerals and a wedding. Yesterday afternoon right after we arrived at our friends home, Bob and Linda Dreese, for Easter dinner, I promptly feel asleep sitting on their couch for 45 minutes.

I am looking forward to cleaning up my perennial garden, planting my kitchen garden and with my wife Martha, landscaping a labyrinth prayer walk in our front yard. Here are some sources of info on this: herb garden labyrinth and laying out a garden labyrinth.

It is also the season of soccer coaching to June. A NY class trip with Molly's class in May. Getting ready for the adult church canoe trip in early July on the Allegheny River.

All of this is Easter for me. I come alive in it. I sense God is alive in it.

I also want to walk the labyrinth of our neighborhood around the church to pray with God and discern God's presence in this setting.
